Max Westwell

Nicole Alphonce
Max Westwell is a stage and screen performer, creative director, and choreographer with over two decades of professional experience.
He began dancing in Brixton at the age of three, trained at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, and went on to spend twelve years as a Soloist with English National Ballet. During this time, he performed leading roles worldwide — from classics such as Romeo and Juliet (Nureyev), The Nutcracker, Manon, and Giselle to works by Akram Khan, Jiří Kylián, and Liam Scarlett.
After achieving his goals in classical ballet, Westwell transitioned into the West End, starring as Jerry Mulligan in An American in Paris and touring internationally as The Swan/Stranger in Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake — an extraordinary journey that concluded on Broadway. Most recently, he played Death in Dr Semmelweis at the Harold Pinter Theatre, performing alongside Mark Rylance in a production that combined dance and spoken word.
In addition to stage work, he has built a strong presence in film and television. Notable roles include Eros in Bridgerton (Netflix, S3), the Flower Cavalier partnering Misty Copeland in Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, and Romeo in BBC’s Agony and Ecstasy.
As a choreographer and creative director, Westwell has worked across film, music videos, and theatre. His projects include Hold Me Forever (directed by Cillian Murphy), Ormella, Nevers a Promise, Can’t Dancewith Kelli-Leigh, as well as assistant choreography for Bridgerton S3, Queen Charlotte, and the feature film Greatest Days. He is currently choreographing both a short film and a feature in production.
Westwell is also the founder of Entwined Events, bringing elite ballet into weddings, galas, and private occasions through bespoke performances designed to move audiences in non-traditional spaces. With a foundation in live performance, screen experience across major platforms, and a growing profile as a director and producer, he continues to focus on meaningful projects that unite visual storytelling, movement, and emotional truth.
Originally from Sweden, Nicole Alphonce moved to England to further her training at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. With over 12 years of experience in the dance industry, she has established a diverse career as a performer and choreographer spanning theatre, television, film, and live events.
Nicole’s choreography credits include Bridgerton S3 & S4 (assistant choreographer), Doctor Who (Associate & Assistant Choreographer), Queen Charlotte (Assistant Choreographer), and House of Guinness (Assistant Choreographer). She has also performed as a featured dancer and stunt artist in productions such as The Witcher S4, Snow White, Greatest Days, The Marvels, Aladdin, Hitman’s Bodyguard, His Dark Materials S3, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, The Power, Man In Black and Treason.

Nicole has collaborated with top artists and brands, including Dua Lipa, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Camila Cabello, Sean Paul, Emeli Sandé, Reebok, Nike, John Lewis, Selfridges, Panasonic, Lulu Guinness and Johnnie Walker.
